Note: - An eastbound Boston and Maine RR train enters Greenfield in the mid 1940s. The train is probably No.58, The Minute Man, due in midafternoon on its 5 hour dash from Troy to Boston. By fall of 1946, Fitchburg Division trains would normally be diesel powered, but steam would still be seen for another 6 years in Greenfield.
