Note: - 2-10-2 Sante Fe-type No. 3027 was built in Schenctady, NY in 1923, shown here in the 1930s or early 1940s at the East Deerfield yard. Because the B&M frequently purchased utility grade coal instead of locomotive grade, when it got really wet, the stoker made a sucking sound. These engines were affectionately known as Mudsuckers.
