Note: - Very early in the morning of Feb. 25, 1935 the unoccupied attic at the southern end of the Greenfield Railroad Station caught fire. The fire burned the train and yard offices causing $15,000 in damage. The southern end of the roof caved in, resulting in the removal of the kitchen and eating room. This view is looking due south from Miles Street. Note the baggage building on the right. The depot was built in 1881 and torn down in the late 1960s following alleged arson damage.
